Cardozo’s LL.M. team took first place out of 20 teams from around the country at the 2017 LL.M. International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition in Washington, DC, March 25. The competition consisted of five rounds and focused primarily on oral advocacy skills before panels of arbitration experts.
This competition seeks to foster the study of international arbitration for LL.M. students from many universities in the U.S. and teaches them skills in the resolution of international business disputes as well as investment disputes.
The winning team included LL.M. students Simon Allal, Diane Caron-Laviolette, Pauline Weess, and Fabiana Zangara. Professor Curtis Pew coached the team with assistance from Director Joshua Epstein.
