Cardozo’s Global Leadership in Law & Business for Non-U.S. Lawyers, sponsored by the department of Graduate & International Programs, started its ten-day conference July 10. The agenda for the program, now in its second year, seeks to give international lawyers a comprehensive overview of the U.S. legal system, covering topics such as corporate law, transactional law, ethics, data law, privacy and intellectual property, among others.
14 participants from 12 countries are attending the conference, many of whom are associates at law firms and four of whom are future LLM students. Valbona Myteberi, Assistant Dean of Graduate & International Programs, said “We have three objectives with this program: expand our international reputation for top quality executive programs; make connections with international law firms and companies who could hire our LLMs in their countries; and help attract LLM applicants.”
